GB WhatsApp Privacy Settings Explained
Privacy is the main reason people install GB WhatsApp. All the extra options live in one place: tap the three dots in the top right corner and choose GB Settings, then Privacy and Security.
Freeze last seen
Locks your last seen at the moment you turn it on. Contacts see that frozen time, even when you come back online later.
Hide online status
Stops the "online" label from appearing under your name. Note that some builds hide it only while you are not typing in a chat.
Hide blue ticks
Your contacts will not see blue ticks when you read their messages. A common choice is to enable it for groups and disable it for close contacts. The tick turns blue once you reply.
Hide second tick
Makes messages look undelivered to the sender, showing a single grey tick.
Hide typing and recording
Contacts will not see "typing..." or "recording audio..." while you compose.
Anti delete messages and status
Keeps a copy of messages and statuses even if the sender deletes them. Remember that this cuts both ways: deleting a message you sent to a GB WhatsApp user may not remove it from their phone.
Who can call me
Choose Everyone, My contacts, selected contacts or Nobody to block unwanted calls.
App lock and chat lock
Under GB Settings, Universal, Privacy you can set a PIN, pattern or fingerprint for the whole app, or lock individual chats.
A word of balance
These options give you a lot of control over what others see. Use them respectfully, and remember that no setting changes the fact that WhatsApp may detect the modified app. Read our ban risk notice.
